You built it. Now brag. Turn the project you just created into a short, shareable launch video with one command. - latent-spaces/brag

Summary

/brag is an open-source agent skill that turns a project you just built into a short, shareable launch video with music, motion, and share copy from a single command inside an AI coding tool. It targets Claude Code, Codex, opencode, and other agent platforms that support Agent Skills, with a leaner /brag-slim variant that runs natively on Opus 5.5. The skill orchestrates the story and tone, then delegates video rendering to the Hyperframes CLI.

What it is useful for

The skill is useful when engineers ship a project and want a quick promotional artifact without leaving their terminal. Instead of opening a video editor, you ask your agent to /brag and get a brag-output/ folder containing a plan, a composition brief, share copy, and a rendered brag.mp4. The README notes the looping video on the launch site was produced by running /brag on this very repo, suggesting the workflow handles real project layouts.

A second use case is repeatable marketing content: the README documents a --tone flag (e.g., /brag --tone "fake Series A launch from 2016") for steering style, and a --voice flag that enables Kokoro-powered narration through Hyperframes when voiceover is desired. There is also a hosted fallback at letsbrag.app, where you can paste a URL and receive a 20-second video without local setup, which is useful for quick previews or sharing a result with non-engineers.

How engineers can use it

Installation paths documented in the README include Claude Code (/plugin marketplace add latent-spaces/brag then /plugin install brag@brag), Codex (codex plugin marketplace add latent-spaces/brag then codex plugin add brag@brag), and a generic npx skills add https://github.com/latent-spaces/brag --skill brag for Cursor, Gemini CLI, Copilot, opencode, and other agent CLIs. If no installer works, the skill files can be rsynced into ~/.claude/skills/brag/ directly. Windows users are warned that symlink support in Git is required; otherwise manual copying is needed.

After install, run /brag from any project directory. The documented prerequisites are Node.js 22+, FFmpeg on PATH, and the Hyperframes CLI (verified with npx hyperframes doctor). Outputs land in a brag-output/ folder, so subsequent runs do not clobber previous ones. For Opus 5.5 users, the skill automatically switches to /brag-slim; running /brag --full retains the classic Hyperframes pipeline. The repo is MIT-licensed and accepts contributions and new demo sites via issues or PRs, per the README.
